DownStream Vergence Equation (Woa, forgot about this project)

Night vision device using an IR laser sent through a (biconcave) lens?

I'd like to set up an equation to calculate watts being diverted. Problem is it calculates the dioptric equivalent. Can I substitute diopter with watts?

Aperature. Pupils are X distance from your retina. This aperature will come into play if I'm going to disperse the laser. I need help w/ this

Additional: Anyone know what common CCD's can read as far as nM goes? I want 850nM+

Oh, & let's keep it simple with diodes under 150mW. We don't want multimode

Watts cannot be substituted for diopters, they are not equivalent measures. One is energy power (watts) the other is a measure of curvature/correction (diopters).

I suggest you discuss this with an optics physicist.
