    Blizzard!!

The last snow storm hit at just the right time. It was my last day at Wa-mart so I just skipped it. Round two however is coming in the day of my orientation. Not good!! Oh well , I am sure if the conditions are as bad they will reschedule. My luck though I show up and no one else does!!

How did your office deal with the weather?

Here in Frostbite Falls it was business as usual. Nothing stops us unless the snow is too deep for snowshoes.

I think in Missouri we are less equipped to deal with it and I assume less skilled at driving in it.

Ditto here in Upstate NY - In our town the schools are closed more times for low temps (like -10F or below) than for snow - and we have a LOT of snow. The DPW runs 24/7 to keep the roads driveable.

I know it didn't hit the news, but Phoenix got SNOW!!! My front yard was covered in snow and Grauple (a form of snow/rain that is not hail). Didn't last long, about 30 mins. Not like Duluth, MN where I grew up.
    I came, I saw, I left

They got us all geared up here for a 3 day blizzard extravaganza, it only snowed last night, about an inch, for maybe 2 hours. for this reason, our office never makes the call until the day of.

i think everyone living here has forgotten this is maine, so theres no need to be excessively worried about snow haha. people hear the word storm now and get all freaked out, i remember being 16 brand new license driving in a storm that dumped 3 feet on us up north and i survived the experience!! granted the car was a friggin boat and had four studded snow tires on it being careful and driving slow goes a long way to preventing storm hysteria
