Yes, that the ability to start threads (and look how I waste it!) was a Christmas present from Steve! I haven't read the comments...I'll go back and check them out. Usually, I don't read the articles, just the comments!

Well..really now, the comments are pretty much what you'd expect, but just the fact that the people on the "Jobs Council" are our of jobs, is news enough.

Exactly! Now that the elections over, the great "Creator of Jobs" can stop pretending that he has a clue (or a desire) to create jobs, and he can send the short-lived Jobs Commission packing.

Actually, the commission really WAS fired before the election. The White House is just making it official now.

Actually it's refreshing to see government officials who aren't earning their exorbitant wages get fired. We could add a few congressmen to the list. Excuse me, "congressional representatives." Term limits would be a great way to begin, but good luck getting either side to go along with that.

To be fair, I'm thinking that they were volunteers, or maybe they were paid a small stipend like a few hundred thousand, but I don't think this was actually a job for them. Probably more like being on the board for a company.

I disagree. The eunuchs who could whisper in the emperors ear in Chinese dynasty's in the past were notorious for holding all the power. Likewise the power would move to the staff who are unaccountable to voters.

Now if you want to talk about limiting the total ammount of money national candidates can spoend and limit where it comes from...

If my boss thought a 2% tax increase in net income over 400K required a base increase of 10% across the board, I would fire myself cause the job wont be there long with a genius like that at the helm.

Then, I would point out to the genius the stock market is a record high and if he's struggling it's not because of the economy.
