    Ugly Frames

Just for fun I thought I'd start a thread that you can post a pic of your stores ugliest frame. Perhaps there was a lapse of judgement when you were purchasing frames or weren't responsible for acquiring the frames in the first place but now you're stuck with them. I'll start with these. I wont name the manufacturer but after sitting on our regular priced rack for more than a year we've moved it over to our 3rd party wall where it's been sitting for more than a year. People wont even take it for free. Who knows? Maybe these frames would be warmly accepted at your store due to demographic and cultural differences. Maybe we could trade ugly frames with each other until they finally find a welcome home.

Ugly from a distance, but beautifully detailed up close. The opposite of a Monet, cute from far but far from cute.

A few years ago, I made what I thought was the trade to beat all trades! I traded off a few Randolph Engineering Aviators for a few Mag-1 Specs!

Needless to say, I still have all of them!

It ain't cheating if you present it with the correct expectations in relationship to warranty, parts availability and life span. Now.........previously worn, like returns in big chains, YUCK!

When I took a job as a lab rep, also with a few frame lines the other salesman was helping me load my cases. I was remarked at how ugly one of the frames were. He laughed at me and said I would sell many of those. He was right.

I inherited a couple similar frames in a box of stock from our store up north. I guarantee they will move before the baconflowercitrus frame I posted. Judy has me thinking about edging a couple Serengeti lenses into it and rethinking it and I HATE her for that! :D

I just had a patient bring in the frame pictured in this link:

    http://www.claires.com/store/goods/a...er-bow-frames/

She wants to put bifocal lenses in them. It was really funny, because when I showed the frame to the other staff members, they could guess exactly who the frames were for! You just have those special ones.
