I just picked this up on FB. Seems Glasses USA had some of their orders held by the FDA too.

GlassesUSA extends its deepest apologies for the inconvenience you have experienced if you are receiving/received your delivery later than expected.
As glasses are considered a medical device by the FDA, they can be subject to random screenings as per US health regulations. Unfortunately, some orders were held at an FDA facility while they ran a check to ensure that the glasses met their requirements. If you have a package that was delayed, please contact our customer service department to receive your "delay compensation".

The FDA has been inspecting a lot of incoming shipments of prescriptions to check compliance with (I hesitate to use the word) "standards". They are doing the same thing for Coastal. Seems Coastal imported (from china) lenses did not meet drop ball, and I recall that there were some issues about forged import certifications.

On the FDA website it appears that ALL shipments from 5 or 6 labs in China are being checked for compliance and documentation.

The importers have claimed in the past that their lenses are made in the USA, and this FDA issue has showed it has been a lie. OOPS!
