I just got a call from the state police that I could go pick up my pistol that had been stolen! It has some cosmetic damage from rattling around under the seat but that just give me an excuse to get it refinished. Merry Christmas to me!

I'm due to get mine back any day, just waiting on the phone call. That will be the best Christmas present this year. It was 1 year in November. A local kid stole it and sold it for drugs. The kid he sold it to got busted with it.
Are these thefts from cars, homes, boats?
Similar story here! Wes it is a sig 229 9mm nights sights.
Mine was the home fezz.
Sweet. My GF wants one like that with the E2 grip.

It is a sweet piece that's for sure!
She's been carrying around one of my 226s and thinks the 229 would fit better in her purse. For my concealed carry purposes, I don't see a difference and would rather have the longer sight radius and slightly less muzzle flip of the 226. Still, it's an excellent piece.

Speaking of guns...
I took my wife to an awesome Christmas party Saturday night! My friend, Scott Weber, owns an online firearm company, and had a bunch of folks (about 150) over for a night of music (live on two stories), drinking, and awesome food! His offices are a series of room which amount to a museum. He's sold guns owned by Bonnie and Clyde, Custer, Elvis, and General Patton. His private collection is awesome, not too mention the western memorabilia he collects. You can only see one of the rooms (it's pictured on the right), but here's the site: http://www.gunrunnerauctions.com/index.cfm

Lefty, or do you just like the Sig style controls with the lightweight polymer frame?

I was actually working on it when my gun was stolen! I had already taken the class and just needed the fingerprints and stuff. I will be taking it with my wife in the next couple of months hopefully.

Lefty...and I like an external hammer, as well as the hammer-drop option.

Real, in what way ?
I'm a big fan of my original Beretta cougar 8045. Love the way it shoots!
Way to go Wes!

If you want a real shooter, drop in a threaded barrel and screw on a muzzle brake/compensator and go to work!
