    Question ARC Lenses??

What's the skinny on ARC lenses? I'm completely ignorant.

Are you referring to the short slang for Anti-Reflection Coated lenses?

I too have only heard 'Anti-Reflective Coated' lenses called ARC, but I think it actually stands for 'Accurate Radius Curvature'.. having to do with thinning of the edge thickness to try and create a more uniform thickness throughout the lens to reduce distortion. Or at least that's what google tells me.

You got in the latter = Accurate Radius Curvature. I've read some weird suggestions about them. ???

Sounds like a fancy name for a freeform aspheric/atoric.
