in Denmark the best Lens brand is by far Rodenstock, not saying they are the best, just the most exclusiv brand.

I think you listed all of the best, except perhaps Seiko. Zeiss is the brand most people have heard of in the UK. 'Varilux' is also a popular term, but nobody has heard of Essilor really. Occasionally, people who are into cameras will have heard of Hoya.

Jai Kudo are a relatively large supplier, who I think are a French company. Have you heard of them?

In another post, I extolled the qualities of "generic " Brands by IOT.They have many different designs of free-form progressives but my local lab, Toledo Optical has chosen the design Visionary Max as their primary design. Their Visionary Focus design is focused more on near vision. My opinion is that the Visionary Max is the lens to choose. Part of this is value, but I really prefer the Visionary Max to some really expensive lenses.

Try Optilux, you can find them at www.optilux.nu
This is a Dutch supplier, but they ship all over the world.
I am very impressed with their cheap FreeForm lenses, they are really top quality.
