Unfortunately , that is pretty much the case in parts of Canada too. Here an optician could punch out a person entering their store , smack them in the head, throw things at them, verbally abuse them, be filmed doing it on national TV, be published in national newspapers, and on You Tube with tens of thousands of views, and have the police swat team called in and yet the Minister and Regulators would still not have dealt with it years and years later and it would still be on their books.

The funny thing is they would come after complaintants.

The worst thing is they would still be preaching accountability, transparency and protection of the public.

In Canada you could , violate every standard of practise, not pay a cent of millions owed in fines and then the judge would give you a suspended sentence all while the judge is calling things a sham operation and then you could go right back to dispensing.

Very sad state of affairs .

Do many of you offer a large majority of your frames at the $200 plus price point and only a small amount in the "covered by your insurance " price point? I don't do that . But I hear that is the practice some places. The "covered" ones are usually intentionally uglier than sin.
