4t tracer with ethernet compatibility question

does anyone here know if the optronics 4t with ethernet is compatible or can be made compatible with the horizon III? for example, if the ethernet box is removed, will it reveal a usable com port?

Yes, the 4T can be used with a Horizon III. In fact it makes the III a much better machine than it was with the Saturn tracer. The ethernet connection is really just a gender mender attached to a serial port. It can work either way depending on the vintage of your edger. I believe there is a setting on the tracer that has to be set for the communication protocol...but call NO if you are having trouble setting it up. They will help over the phone at no charge.
