    6"x6" piece of photochromic material

Need some help please. One of our safety accounts is requesting a lens (plano) 6" by 6". I have no idea where to obtain something like this. Any help out there? Thanks.

You will probably find just what you need on ThomasNet.com, the purchasing agents bible.

I don't know where to get them either. But you can try calling Ice Tech 1-888-ICE-TECH. They make their own brand of lenses. Maybe they can special order for you or get you some pointers.

6" x 6"? Plano and also flat? If so, you might check with some window companies. http://www.consumerenergycenter.org/...ws_future.html
Obviously not ophthalmic quality. But do they need that? What are they trying to accomplish? Had a safety account call me one time wanting a 3X magnifier 12" in diameter instead of the 1.5" ones they had been ordering. Turns out they wanted to be able to read a dial on the other side of the room. They needed a low power telescope with a mounting bracket, not a magnifier. They thought a larger diameter would yield a longer focal length.
