It was time to get a new lap top, and since I have a iPad and an iphone and two older ipods, I decided to buy a Macbook. I just bought the most basic, which is still so much more advanced than anything else I've previously owned. I may beg some help from those who also have one if and when I have any questions (hint hint all you geniuses).
I just did a fresh installation of Windows 8 on my PC last week and I'm impressed. Very fast and stable. Boots up quick, hasn't crashed yet. It self-installed all drivers, and I have a pretty complicated rig.

I got hit with a surge a while back. Burnt up a video card, and another one just went in the toilet a week ago. Two new cards it is. 4 monitors. I should've done SSDs, but I was on a serious time crunch and didn't have time for newegg. Next time.
