Is was thinking off making up some drill mounts and put a groove and some color just in the groove but I am not sure on what to use to add the color .I was thinking of trying figernail polish .
Does anyone have any thoughts on this .

Years ago Rodenstock produced a kit of syringes, and 6 basic colors to inject int the grooves. I think I still have the remnants/kit in the lab somewhere.........................LOL.
Seriously, use a paint.

I use colored cords, when I do some nylor rimless. I co-ordinate or contrast the frame color with cord color!

We ordered a set of permanent paint markers years ago and still use them. They work great but it takes 2 coats with 24 hours to set up prior to the second coat.
Italee only do them in plastic....
I have a kit for Polycarbonate lens edges only.
If you only want to dye the groove then just dye the mounting string in your dye vats. I have done this and it works fine though I've never been a fan of edge color on rimless.
To add colour to the groove itself, like Polaris offer on their rimless eyewear, I use a fine (000) brush and artist's acrylic paint. With the lens mounted in a manual grooving machine, it's not difficult to to make a neat job. Acrylic paint bonds well to all the types of plastic lens materials I've tried it on.
Yes, it's true, you need a steady hand. If you've got the dexterity to do rimless well, you shouldn't have any worries though :)
