This makes me so angry.
A friend of mine who lives in Chatanooga found a dog on the side of the road yesterday. Thinking it got away from home she led him to her car and kept him there while she knocked on doors in the neighborhood. Several people said they saw some one drive up, take the dog out of a car, take it's collar off, and drive away, leaving the poor pup on the side of the road. My friend volunteered at an animal shelter as a high school student and is notorious for rescuing dogs and cats, fostering them, and find homes for them. She is a college student yet she used the little money she has to take this sweet boy to the vet. The vet is under the impression the pup may have been a bait dog for dog fighting. He is healthy and neutered.
He has a little limp but he is mellow and good with her other two dogs and cat. Anyone know anyone near Chatanooga willing to help with this poor little guy?
