Problem with Huvitz HPE 7000 edger

Hello everyone ;) First I'm sorry for my not good english ;)
And second - I want to ask all of you has enyone encauted a problem with Huvitz HPE 7000 edger, with eding Trivex lenses and drilling holes ?

    a) Trivex lenses - When we are trying to do a lens shape some like this: http://www.thinkgeek.com/images/prod...es_edge_v7.jpg
When you want to make a more square shape, it makes a round where there should be stricter square.
    b) When we are trying to drill holes, holes are in different places than it should be.

    Can anyone help us ?

P.S. we had done calibrating and for edger and for blocker. Also updated the newest software for both devices but there was nothing good :/

The rounding of the lens is most likely from the trace. This particular style of eyewear can have a variable degree v bevel profile hence the probe/stylis may not be capturing the true shape. Try tracing the demo lens and adjust size accordingly.

Can you explain in detail the drill issues.

So when we scan the lens and place the corect places of holes and we press START button the lens ar starting to edge. And after edging when we pick up our lense from edger we see one hole is lower than it should be and other ir upper. And when we try to reedge another lense with corected holes places, holes will be in another place again and not fit to our rim frame.

But when we scan the demo lens we see it on the screen and the shape is right, but at the end of edging it will be more roundly than it should be.

Best way to test accuracy is with a Plano cr 39 lens. Run the same job you are having issues with and check hole placement. It sounds like it might be an axis issue..lens is twisting off axis during edging and hence drill placement will be off and rounding of shape will occur. Depending on wheel types you can dress or "sharpen" roughing wheel.
