    Smilie Stock SV.

Do you use them? What brand? ARC? What materials? Which are your favorites?

Somo and Seiko. You can get cheaper, but they are crap. Either they don't tint well, unwanted prism or powers off. I can recall only one Seiko, and one Somo lens that came out of the envelope off in any way. Almost perfect. The extra you pay for a good Stock lens will save you far more in labor.

I also have been happy with Seiko. Costs are good, powers are good, and their a/r's are pretty durable. In the rare event in which there is a bad lens, they always deliver by next day.

I agree about the Seiko lenses. I also consider the Hoya Phoenix lenses to be excellent.

    Do we use them?

Yes, and carry a small range of powers that cover simple and common requirements.

    Brand?

We have had no loyalties, and occasionally order stock lenses by brand if the characteristics of the brand is favorable for production of the job, ie, base curve, thickness.....

    ARC?

There is where the brand can be different, especially in the reflex color, nothing looks more distracting than a pair of eyewear fitted with a blue, red, green, aaaaannnd purple assortment of reflections.

    Materials?

Carrying some stock of glass, clear...............cr39, which is helpful for cull/sacrificial test lenses, and some poly. No AR, because of the problem of batch reflex matching.

    Which are your favorites?

I enjoy working with all brands, and materials!
