Can anyone verify whether or not the college staff are resigning in mass exodus do to less that professional behavior of the board members?
Can anyone verify whether or not the college staff are resigning in mass exodus do to less that professional behavior of the board members?
Can anyone shed any light on why there has been no legal updates on the suspended sentence of the G. G. affair ? Why would the sentence have been suspended at all ? Were any of the millions and millions of dollars of fines ever collected ?
Can anyone shed light on why the college lists a discipline case back in 2007 and yet in 2012 this case does not have any scheduled hearings after being outstanding for so many years ? This case received national if not global publication in major newspapers and TV stations and news channels.
If offenders get suspended sentences and their cases take over 5 years then what return on investment are opticians receiving from the people they employ ? What message is the College sending to offenders ? How are they protecting the public at all ? Whats going on with this internet dispensing into Ontario ?
Isn't one of the purposes of the website to keep opticians in the loop and informed ? How is that happening ? There has not been a legal update to some of these cases in over 2 years.
Should there not be an accounting of the legal expenses, versus the suspended sentence results , versus unpaid fines ?
Who can point to a positive stance forward to prevent illegal dispensing ?

idispense, you've already started a thread about this in -> Duh ?? What was the purpose in this ??
My topics is separate from your legal concerns. My thread has to do with a separate matter. If you can contribute, great! If not, please allow the thread to evolve on its own and please don't disrupt this conversation.
You are way off topic and in any event it took all of the provinces to evolve into this mess.
The only Province that shines and polishes the P's in "Public Protector" is Quebec.
Humour for the day :
"Public Protector" is anyone else tired of that phrase ? It seems to have become a shield in the same way people apply underarm deodorant . Regulators can't say anything at all without that popping out first just like the way other Canadians say "eh" .
Pretty soon I expect Lenno to do a comedy rendition of Canadians " It s ok, Canadians can go outside now they've got their "Public Protector " shield on, eh ? " or "Have you heard the latest news ? A deodorant manufacturer is launching a new underarm product called "Public Protector" and in Newfoundland their competitors have launched " Eh, whats that ?"
