    Lightbulb Optometry best ipad app

If many of us have ipads, nowadays, can you indicate, in our domain of activity, what is the most usefull ipad app?

We use Dr Chrono app for our medical records. I love being able to chart from anywhere as my ipad has the 4G built in, and I can check my schedule from my phone if my ipad is not with me. Plus, the billing section is nice - I can see how many claims I have out and where they currently are processing. The only negative is that there was a lot of customization on my end at first - but it is nice to be able to change the forms at anytime - it literally only takes a minute. Also, our patients can make appointments online, without an extra program. *One thing I have noticed, not related to the app, is the ipad3 does not have the internet range that the ipad2 does - just an observation.

I purchased the Spectangle measuring app from HOYA. A bit odd at first but the staff and most patients love it.
If Walmart has it I don't want it...

I was told by my rep that it is about $600 - is that what yours was for the Spectangle?

It was 399.00 plus the cost of the iPad (I got the cheap one @ 499.00). HOYA's got a deal to help pay for it but it's on Mystyle, since it doesn't have a VSP code I do not use the lens.

Smart Mirror from ACEP France has this called as Frame Selector in one of the modules. Its possible to capture four images in both image and video modes.

Is this one just for the Opticians? I'm very much interested in apps for professional use and I've tried many different ones, as well as developed one with my colleagues: Smart Optometry, very useful and its for both iOS/Android. It's not for trying on different frames, but rather for eye examinations - it includes 15 eye tests and what I like is that it is interactive: patient interacts with the application. It's perfect for near vision testing and it is not intended for self-testing, but for professionals to use on their patients.

    It's free to download.
