Hand Edgers / Wheels Recommendation Needed

I am looking for a few new Hand Edgers and want to know if you know of any good ones, for a decent price. Thanks.

Yea, I was thinking that too Jacqui. Some hand edgers are way over priced. I miss the old ceramic wheels that were powered by a water going over a wheel. I had one that was so heavy I swear when we shut it off at night it was still spinning in the early morning.

Carefull what you buy, big difference in the motor quality and the wheel. Ask if it is bonded or plated. We buy from China like almost everyone else and there is good and bad.

There are also some Coburn R5 hand edgers floating around the used market (wish I could get a couple, one diamond and one ceramic). There is or was a neighbor of Don Gilman's that was/is producing reproductions of them.

I too started with the big AO ceramic and corundum edgers, both for hand edging and also used as rimless edgers.

Nu-Tec inc Bevelrite is my favorite! normally get them used.
