I need burner lenses... any suggestions?!

    Good morning,

As I explained in a previous post I am having some slippage issues with my wet edger specifically on poly and trivex with AR. I took the advice of my fellow optiboarders and have ordered some Salem TAK pads and 3m leap pads.

I am needing some burner lenses to check my slippage as right now we are pretty low volume. The lab I order my uncuts from is a smaller local place and they do not have any AR coated poly or trivex that I can get my hands on to work the kinks out of my machine.

    Suggestions or ideas?

Thanks in advance for reading and making suggestions!

    Kelly

What kind of edger are you using? We had the same problem with slippage a few weeks ago (relatively new Santinelli) and it turned out to be a software glitch causing chucking issues.

There was a list a few months ago of all the things you can do to prevent slippage. One I recommend is using pads on both the front and the back, by double chucking your edger. You can also re-chuck to use oval blocks, which helps too. Presicion Optical can do custom chucks for any your needs, for instance you can use different blocks from your original brand. Slowing your speed and lessening your water helps, as well as dbl checking your pressure, and using the max allowed. In some cases, you can cut 10mm over, and reblock. Its usually a matter of multiple fixes that work the best.
