Well, I see that a lot went down on this thread while I was at Expo West. Yes, I am a Florida licensed optician, ABOC, NCLE, and former senior editor at Eyecare Business magazine, now a contributing editor. As far as I know, Texas is still an unlicensed state. Texas has what's called "voluntary registration." Which means if you're ABOC you can voluntarily register with the state of Texas as an optician. I think (don't know) that Colorado has similiar setup.
