im currently an optometry student and few days ago i had a posting with doctor. Then when I checked on a patient I saw some kind of detachment there but im not sure whether it is a vitreous detachment or retinal detachment.when i google it it shows no difference to me. is there a way to differentiate them?

This is a forum for opticians. You need to ask OMD's or OD's or instructors in ocular physiology. If opticians were capable of answering this they wouldn't be working as opticians.
