Is there such an animal. I am looking for a brokerage that handles optical companies exclusively for sale. Does anyone know of any?

This won't be of any help, but there is. I got an add from one a couple years ago. Don't remember who or where. Some wholesale labs have knowledge and will assist in such endevors.

I suggest you to post an ad on 20/20 Asia. There are many foreign opticians want to immigrant to US and still practice opticianry.

Depends on size of your practice and gross income per year. If they invest over one million dollars and hire ten US citizens, they are eligible to apply for investor's green card. !/4 million dollars investment + hire 4 US citizens will get them a E-2 visa (business visa = still pay tax but can't vote, can not have any goverment benefit neither work for anyone else in US). E-2 visa can be upgrade to investor's green card by investing more money, pay more tax, and hire me.

There were several Optiborder from India seeking ways to "immigrant" or "work" in the United States. They might be interested.

Chain stores such as Eye World in East Coast were owned by foreign investors before. Many Japanese were beneficial as an example.

Elegence Optical in Hong Kong (manufacture) and Kingdom Optical (wholesaler + chain) in Singapore were looking for private practices and small chains in US a few years ago. You might want to try them.
