My favorite combination was at Oregon State in Corvallis. Place was called Suds-n-Suds. You got it! Laundry mat on one side, 100 beers from around the world on the other.

When I started to work in my fathers optical business, we carried also Cameras and projectors as well as microscopes and geodaesic instruments, binoculars and telescopes. That was the full range of a good optical store. Customers would purchase cameras and the later on came for glasses or vice versa.
We even manufactured also pleoptic and orthoptic instruments.
