NEW VSP Price lists start July 1 2012...

Don't forget the new price list for Signature and Choice plans started yesterday.

Does any one see any changes? Besides Digital sv now being listed...

You know what sucks, it was to take place on July 1st, I came in yesterday to print them off and do other things...... It wasn't until I was highlighting my 15 set that I realized they didn't actually update the lists until TODAY the 2nd...... Stupid Monkeys, now my wrist is killing me, lol

Changes on Signature are in the SV and BF and PAL's. AR, Transitions and all the other options look pretty much the same. Choice, Not really sure, we JUST decided to start taking it again, so I can't say for certian of anything changing on it.

All this for $2.00 changes..... REALLY?

No extras charge for aspheric sv lenses. And 1.53 to 1.60 are all the same price now.

Looks like Avance UV should have you add V2755 to U+C for all lens types but anyone know if we can also charge for uv under patient pays?

If Aspheric is a covered option on the patients plan, then yes.

Also, watch out on the Patient Record Report, Anti-glare and Scratch coatings are listed now with "Standard" coating.

I wonder what VSP is considering as "Standard" and what is Premium? Under my AR treatments, the AR that I use is no longer listed, I have to choose "Lab Supplied AR Category C" and then type in Special Instructions which AR I need...... Talk about redundant when you do AR on EVERY pair of glasses, and doing 15+ orders a day (Thankfully not all my orders are VSP) but talk about STUPID.

Just called VSP about the "standard A/R" apparently its just a way to separate the crizal UV's. They told me group A,B,C,and D A/Rs are still considered standard.

Looks like Avance UV is still patient discounted $75 under Signature but you need to create a new V2755 line item under U&C charges.

    Oui?

I think you just have to charge for the UV and AR for the Crival with UV options so Avance with UV will be 14+75.

Have the non-IDC reimbursements changed as well? Or only the Patient Out of Pockets.

Been running thru the numbers on this in excruciating detail. Has anyone noticed VSP Choice trick they played with Digital Single Vision Polycarbonate. Compare your NET with a traditional SV and you'll see what I mean. Looks like they got lazy or ran out of time with their new pricing model and slapped a low ball pt fee to solve the problem. Pretty clever........

Had to call VSP to get an issue with a CMS sorted out. Good grief; you'd think that the people answering the phones would have at least some rudimentary knowledge of what they're dealing with. I could not for the life of me convince the girl I was talking to that Crizal Avance-UV was not two separate items.
