If you know a sheik with enough money to finance the moulding equipment an research it could be done. But why. Yes you would have to mold the lenses, grinding would be an impossibliity. One of the companies making the in house lens moulding equipment could probably whip something out for you if the price is right. But why?

    Hey Guys,

It is so hot here in Korea. I really missed sunny Cal. even the terr........

    Lommy,

I am trying to find two machines for your request. One is manual ($2,000 USD) requires expensive lens mold as Chief Chip mentioned. The other one is computerized (80,000 USD) allows you to cut any size any shape one by one.

    Yes, it can be RX.

I will post their web site later.

    Hi,

    Please cotact Joseph at:

Italy country code + 0435-75341 (fax), for the computerized CNC. He will send you a vedio type with Italian music. The machine cuts lens and also does milling and drilling.

    or visit:

www.boshini-optics.com for the manual unit at $2,000 USD. E-mail them and ask for the machinary informaiton, I don't think they post machines on the web sites.

I will try to look for a picture and post on this board if I could find one here in Korea.

I just spoke to the engineer. You may cut any two eye shapes on the one piece PC shield in 8,9, or 12 base curve and then insert plastic rim in order to RX it.

Enclosed a photo attachment for the manual lens shield cutting machine. You will need another machines to make the lens mold with curverature----as shown the black lens mold in the back, secured by screw. The blue one in the front is the jig to hold the square pc lens blank secures by air vaccme. There is one metal rod and one exact diameter cutter on the top. The one on the back is made for tracing the lens shape by swinging around the cutting table, and the one in the front cuts the blank. You will need a single face cutter to cut pc material lens because it melts easily. Apply polishing after cutting.

    Machine model: HG-YJ205, 220 Volt, 3 phase.
