    Frame Roll Call

I have a wonderful and loyal patient who will only get her glasses from us. Problem one) She wants an Oakley, we don't carry Oakley. Problem two) She wants Oakley Unpredictable, and this is discontinued. I have tried quite a few avenues but thought if anyone could find it for me, it would be you guys! I believe it is only available in one size and she is looking for it in Polished Chocolate. Does anyone have access to his little gem? Please PM me if you do, thanks everyone!

    Shannon

A man went to an eye specialist to get his eyes tested and asked, "Doctor, will I be able to read after wearing glasses?"
"Yes, of course," said the doctor, "why not!"
"Oh! How nice it would be," said the patient with joy, "I have been illiterate for so long."

Have her buy the frame. You make the lens or just sell her something close to that style. We have oakley so thats easy for me but u have her go on oakley web site and buy what she wants. She bring you the frame and u cut her lens. You get a piece of the pie and time to buy into oakley ophthalmic for her next purchase. Pie is good.

Well, this would be workable if she could find the frame as well. She is going off of a frame she tried on a long while ago but never purchased. Now she has brought me a printout of the frame. I searched, found plenty of people saying they are willing to sell it....and boom, they come back and say that they no longer have it, as it has been discontinued. She would have purchased the frame herself and brought it to me if she could have found it this time around....hence the reason why she was hoping I would have better luck. Oh well. I tried for several days and I hate to tell a patient no, but this may be a case where that is my only option. Luckily she does have two others picked out as just in case pairs....but I hate to disappoint. :(

Or be proactive, buy it yourself, and mark it up however you need to, and provide what your customer has asked of you!

For future reference; I have been able to find quite a bit of discontinued frames on Amazon.com. If you have this problem again, I would suggest at least checking there as I have had great results.

Ok, That was what I HAD done to start with...it says blonde optician in my signature...lol, but I did figure that much out :) Unfortunately, after I ordered it, they took the money and a week and a half later I got a response via email saying...so sorry, discontinued. I'm hesitant to keep charging up the credit card. I hate the idea of buying online and this patient is a special sort who you have to hold her hand and do it all for her....I'm cool with that, but I don't want to continue to waste her time and mine. She will be better off in a frame that is current with a warranty anyway(in my humble opinion). Thanks everyone (to the ones who answered nicely and even those who were less so) :) My original hope was someone may just have had it laying around and was willing to sell it to me. Have a good evening everyone.

ummm, you should be able to get your money back. dispute the charge if needed. The credit card company will credit you back immediately.
