Who makes small children's frames with cables anymore?

Fisher Price has one, but I need other options. The kid is 3 years old and it'll be his first pair. I've not had good luck with the conversions, but it may come to that.

    Thanks in advance!

The conversions should be your best answer. Why are you not successful with the conversions?

The conversions can be tricky and kids are notoriously hard on cable temples. I used to put a small length of shrink tubing on the joint to secure the cable.

You did say what the age kid you were looking for?? One of the safest choice and good quality for the little one's is from California based Solobambi. Your patients won't find ths product at Walmart or even @ the indep down the street, that's important to me. Check their site out @ http://www.solobambini.com/
If Walmart has it I don't want it...

You might look at Miraflex also. They are not Cable, but are made to stay on, and virtually indestructable.

If you had "bad luck" with cable conversions, you're doing it wrong.

There are also less and less frames being made that are able to be converted properly. :\

We have a lot of positive feedback about Miraflex. Silhouette makes some kids Adidas with temples that can be cut and bent into cables

Any metal or plastic temple with a wire core can be converted to cable "properly". At least in children's. Some of the wider fashion temples cannot but they are not found on children's frames.

The real advantage here is they can be custom lengthed to longer or shorter than the skull tips allow. Custom shaped for the ear, and if you are real smart you will postion them so that they are turned inward so that they stay flush against the side of the head.

Not to mention they can be replaced when the kid eats or otherwise destroys them.
