ic berlin edging: HELP NEEDED STAT!

Hey everyone. Long time, no speak. I am going to be edging a POF ic berlin this afternoon. It will be my first pair done here. What should the groove size be? I'm guess similar to a lindberg, but I don't want to spoil a lens cutting for this patient. She's already had way too many redos.

I did one last week, depth = 0.6mm / width = 0.8 mm
work fine for me.

Well it mostly worked. Grooving was perfect, thanks, but the sizing was not. Lens is loose.

for these type of jobs, one needs to start lens larger and take it down...

I did, just not enough apparently. And I'm always a little queasy doing retouches on Avance coatings.

I always use a 2.2 edge thickness on metal grooves, it add a margin of error. You can do a a thinner lens, but chipping goes up.

Next time run a demo lens base bevel specific on the edger to match the frame. I say base bevel specific because if you just run a demo lens in standard mode and the demo lens is a different base than your patients new lenses a standard follow front bevel (V or groove) may fit differently than the patients new uncut lenses as you will see a different circumference dependent on lens base when ran at flush front. Matching the base bevel on the demo and real lenses (even if they are two different base curves) ensures you of the same bevel curve and therefore same circumference and fit.
