Optical Help Desk

Walman Optical Company is a successful, diversified, employee-owned business serving the ophthalmic community since 1915. We currently have an immediate opening for the Optical Help Desk in our Minneapolis, MN location.

Job Summary:
This position supports our ophthalmic customer service departments. Receive requests for quotations and process Rx orders. Answer technical questions and relay pertinent information to customers. Coordinate with other departments in handling purchase orders and service to customers. There is a possibility of light travel as well.

Qualifications:

  • Must have optical knowledge;
  • Must have managed care knowledge;
  • Must understand order entry and other functions of DVI System;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Good typing skills and PC knowledge;
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds;
  • Must be able to travel as needed.
