    Hi minus progressives

Good day, any suggestions for a progressives which provides a good intermediate reading zone? the patient is currently using Nikon Presio 1.74.

His new RX is about -8.00DS with ADD +2.00D, i'm thinking of either shamir's autograph II or seiko's succeed.

About a year ago I needed to sort a Px with a similar Rx to yours. He worked in a television control gallery, so was constantly swinging between long distance (to view the monitors), intermediate (to check the control desk and computer screen) and near (for control sliders and paper notes).

I originally fitted him with the Zeiss Gradal Individual 1.67 (this was just before the 1.74 was available) but he found that the distance and intermediate were slightly too narrow even with compensation.

I then remade him into the Essilor Physio f-360 1.74 and he found his vision was much much clearer. As a side note, I did not change the POW measurements between the two lens orders and they were made into the same frame and heights.

Look no further han Zeiss Individual 1.67 or 1.74, depending on power. Accept no substitutes!

Autograph II fixed designs will let you select a proportion of intermediate to near.

i have read some feedbacks on the autograph lense robbing the patients of their intermediate distance viewing. If i were to compare it with his current Nikon presio, will it be for better or worse if i were to switch it to autograph as he is looking for something better than the presio.
