If you were to open a dispensary that had only non designer (big brand) frames to offer what lines would you carry?

FezzJohns!!!!
Morel, especially the Koali line - good quality, cool looks, and a "non-designer" label. Your patients will love them!
Prob frames from Modern Optical. They are cheap and they look great! If I understand what you are ?ing
Tuscany, for their rimless collections. I'm asked every day if I'm wearing Silhouette. I'm not. Kids frames? Nickelodeon from Nouveau. They sell. Womens? Vera Bradley for the same reason. They sell.
Fysh, Kliik, Evatik, You's, Flair
Todd Rogers and Freudenhaus
Prodesign, O&X from Kio Yamato, Lightec from Morel, Etnia
OGI, Visual Eyes(preferably the Runway and Runway Couture line)
IC! Berlin, Lindberg or even Barton Perreira?
I love Ogi, that's what I wear. I really like the Scott Harris Pulse collection from Europa too- flat, matte metals in jewel tones. Gorgeous stuff.
I'd love some Alan Mikli and maybe SALT but unfortunately that is not really our demographic...We still have to cater to the brand recognition of the nouveau riche.

I've always liked the MODO, but they seem to have a hard time keeping a rep. for our area.
Prodesign, Morel, and OGI.
I'm Andrew Hamm and I approve this message.
I would probably carry Morel is our area rep wasn't such a creeper.

Optical frame reps are generally paid by commission and pay their own expenses. If you are right that this one is a creeper, he/she could not make a living and would exit the job very quickly because of not much turnover and income.
Maybe you should revise your opinion if that one has been around for a while and can make a living..............then other customers obviously do not share your point of view.
eeeeeeeeekkkk haha .. our rep is a really nice so thats good .. they had champagne at their booth at expo and i'm easily sold :)
Go collar a grandkid if you are in the mood to scold.
I trust my gut when it comes to warning signals. I deal with plently of sales reps who lack basic social skills but their product is good enough to endure their presence. If I choose not to work with someone based on my own intuition and also their preceeding reputation I think that I have just cause enough to choose to not work with a vendor. I might be young but I'm not a naive little girl.
I think it's unfortunate that someone as bright as you Mr. Ryser would be so quick to judge me, and my reason for being uncomfortable with another individual.

well said :)
You have to excuse Chris and I occasionally we are getting old and crotchetly.
As well as too damn mean to appologise often.

Now I got to come out of the bush.....................If you would have added the above brown tinted paragraph to the original post, it would have looked like day and night. I can read between your lines.
I owned a frame company for 20 years, was its first sales rep and built up nearly every sales territory single handed in Canada until I could hire and train the 9 sales reps, and they could make a decent living right from the start. They were chosen because they were poeple friendly, honest and most of them learned opticians that could discuss professional matters with their customers.
It is not easy to be a sales rep. It is a lonely job, eating in restaurants and sleeping in the best priced motels for sometimes a couple of weeks at the time.
What can get you in a down mood is hearing the word "not interested" four, five or six times a day. When after a few lousy trips suddenly the doors opened and lots of orders where given and taken, the moods turned by 180 degrees into knowing the customer liked the rep or the frames or the best of all, like, both of them.
