What do we like as optical people?

I love SYFY. How about you? I just saw John Carter. It was kinda weak. Last night we watch Our Darkest Hour. It was good.

I'm the weird one. I like musicals. It's because I'm a theatre major.

I love one of the original chick flicks: Anne of Green Gables. Sigh, just love me some Gilbert Blythe.

I feel old... I always thought it was SciFi but you kids today are ruining the King's English (which I also do- especially before spellcheck).

There are so many great movies but I lean towards comedy. Stranded on a desert island I'd choose- Some Like it Hot and an old Tony Curtis Jack Lemon and Natalie Woods film The Great Race.

My favorite, "The Wake of the Red Witch."

Haven't seen John Carter but I have read all of Burrow's books on same as well as all of his other books.

Wow! My taste in movies is remarkably similar to Fezz'. That's disturbing.

I'm married to one of few women who actually likes the Stooges. I hope it's not another waste of time.

Submitted for your consideration, W.C. Fields "Your're Telling Me".

There's something shy and courtly in Fields here. Great comics have auras of solitude, which is why we love them; we see something in them that reflects our own lonlieness, our sense of being outsiders. In Fields' truculent glare, we see the face we'd love to show the world--to everyone who forces to get out of bed and go to work, or who gets between us and our next meal. On the train scenes though, Fields's suspicions drop. He finds a kind of companionship with someone smart enough to know what trouble it is to live. And that's the soul of this quick, smooth, good-looking and little known comedy.

C.S. Lewis promoted the term Scientifiction. I like it! Alas, he was overruled.
