    Hey you cooks out there!

So I have these two tuna steaks sitting in the fridge for tonight. I'm thinking lemon-dill-...something, dunno. Any recommendations? I've never actually cooked tuna steaks before.

    I got a suggestion!

Toss that fish in the trash and grab some porterhouse steaks!

Ir if you insist on eating the fish....I'm a big fan of Mrs. Dash seasoning.

teriyaki is great and easy. I wouldn't adulterate it too much. What I would do is go on to foodnetwork.com and find out what the correct tempurature for tuna is. That will give you a great foundation before any flavor.

That will work fine, or you can try some simple italian dressing as a marinade. Whatever you do, watch it, and don't over cook it, It cooks fast.

Teriyaki is great with salmon. I'd stay with the dill on the Tuna. If you're grilling them make sure they're about room temp before they hit the fire. Nothing worse than overcooked tuna. Enjoy.

Little lemon...pinch of sea salt...dash of fresh pepper...just a little dill would be nice. Don't use too much on it. Hot grill, sear and serve rare. Deeeelish...:)

A hint for next time. Keep it in your beer fridge (colder is better) when storing. If this was from a market, it was probably frozen already, but it stays well very cold. When I get tuna, I keep it on ice in a cooler for as long as 2 days, not freezing it, just super cold, and my tuna is usually only hours old when I get it.

It turned out ok. Sadly I have no grill, and can't have one at our condo :( but tossed on a skillet with a bit of butter, a pinch of salt, some freshly ground pepper, fresh squeezed lemon and a bit of dill, and a dash of parsley, it turned out pretty decent. I made sure not to cook it to death, but I'll probably cook it a little less next time.
