Stanton Optical

Anyone familiar with Stanton Optical. Good, Bad or Indifferent???

I posted a thread a couple months ago RIMLESS on Stanton, the review on Yelp were terrible but the one I saw in California was full with people.

It seems likes its a bait and switch philosophy, the advertise really low prices but upgrade you when you walk in to higher priced stuff. Not as classy or professional as The See Stores.

My guess is they will fill some need while the economy is still wounded but they won't get many repeat customers once the novelty has worn off and the economy improves. They will be around for a while, shrink a bit, and then get bought out by someone like Davis Vision. They will hurt Wal-Mart, Costco and Sears Optical the most, and they just seem like another re-incarnation of Vista Optical etc.
