    Ray Ban RX Lenses??

Can someone please answer a question for me. I have had people coming in claiming Lens Crafters is offering Rx Ray Ban Lenses. Everything I can find online and from talking with Luxottica, they say they do not make rx lenses. Is Lens Crafters just etching a Ray Ban logo in rx lenses?? Just curious, I don't really care one way or another. Thanks

Surely you don't think either Lux or Lenscrafters would lie. Actually since Lux owns Lenscrafters, Lenscrafters can probably etch Ray-Ban into lenses without fear of copywrite litagation. Suspect there would be consequences if we did it though.

    Ray Ban RoX lenses

Here is a link to some of the information you are asking about. Yo may have to click through a couple of screens to get to the Ray Ban piece. http://www.lenscrafters.com/wcsstore...tor/index.html

Digitally designed lens, good feedback from customers...Very expensive and yes even the clear lenses have some sort of logo. It has been over a year since I have worked for Lux but can honestly say the lenses are pretty nice..Comes in clear or polarized with anti-reflective coating...I wouldn't pay what they are asking but do like the lenses.

They use an optimized perscription. I have a pair of their progressives from 2010, the best I have ever worn. I now have a 1.67 version from another company and not as good. Now Varilux has their new S series that has the same atributes but without having to use the optimized script. Oh and $150 more. So are they worth it? Yes, there is not way I would go back to even a physio enhanced as the 'swimmy' area of those is too much whereas the Rox+ is almost non existant.

I'm looking forward to Lux rolling out this authentic Ray Ban Rx program to ECPs in 2013.

If I had $500 for every person who walked into my office and asked for RayBan, I'd have a new car, new office, white teeth and who knows what else.

I was one of the original folks to get rid of LUX back in 200X, I can't remember when it was.

Oakley is owned by Lux, and not too many of us questioned that. It might be time to reconsider, as so many of those sales get lost to LC, etc.

    Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, they saved Ray Ban from oblivion. They also own/have the exclusive rights to: Tiffany, chanel, DKNY, DG, Dolche Gabanna, Burburry, all ralph lauren lines ect ect ect..... Do Not confuse Luxottica with Lenscrafters.... Lux gives it's companies free reign to do well or be really stuuuuppppiidddddd (as LC is being right now).

It took 18 months to get the contract ot produce the coach frames, so not so new, and they used to make armani, but they went to another manufacturer (probably Marchon), and their quality went down, so they are back with Lux.
