    Ceramic Hand Stones

I need several of them! Not the machine, just the ceramic wheel itself. Used is fine. New is fine. Like the ones that would be used in the old Coburn hand edgers. I don't care which machine they were intended for.

Do you have some? Do you know where to get some?

    Thanks!!!

I have no idea where you would find them except for used equipment dealers. I'm looking for a Coburn R5 or AO ceramic hand edger. There was a company in Ohio that was making them, but I lost the address for them.

Back in the day the Norton Company in Worcester, MA made all of the vitrified wheels for AO, Coburn and Robinson Houchin. These wheel are off the shelf products although you will need the diameter, width, hole size and grit. You might just want to bring the old wheel to the distributor to get a Norton part number as I doubt they will be able to cross reference with the original. You might also get some information from the old wheel blotter if it is still legible.

Go here http://www.nortonindustrial.com/ to find a distributor in your area.

I have a handstone with a genuine Norton wheel. It is one of the tan varieties and it put a wonderful safety bevel on crown like butter. I will not remove it from the machine but you will have a first rate stone. Won't even need to be trued
    Money carefully refunded
