pens and refrigerator calendar magnets that start midyear (June 2012-may 2013) or (oct 2012 - sept 2013).
Space is guaranteed because nobody has 2013 yet

We do cleaner (free from the crizal people), a refridge magnet and a small locally made chocolate
Here's what I did. I too like the "set". It makes a very nice presentation.
Thanks for the suggestions. I'm looking into the fitting cards and the anniversary cards. The pens seem like a no brainer, I'm can't believe I didn't do that already. I've also been tasked with my offices online presence, ad campaigns, social media... I'm currently running a check in deal with facebook and foursquare. When a patient checks into the office they receive a free coffee mug with our logo... on it.
As for the free lens cleaner refills, anyone want to share their secret recipe???

My patients already get their glasses for free. It comes with a free eye exam, a case and cleaning cloth. They also get free health care, food stamps, reduced or free housing and a cell phone. But I think the free cactus plant is a great idea.
A free PD stick so they can take their own PD and order online next time?
JOHNS HAS A MONOPOLY ON IN- HOME MADE LENS CLEANER!
I'LL BETCHA THAT IT ONLY COSTS HIM PENNIES TO MAKE GALLONS!
HE'S TAKEN OVER THIS MARKET, AND MUST BE STOPPED!
HE WON'T EVEN APPEAR ON CAMERA!
WHAT A RIP OFF!
I'M GETTING RID OF EVERY FRAME NAMED JOHNS IN MY STORE! HE MUST BE STOPPED FROM EXPANDING INTO OTHER AREAS OF EYEWEAR MARKETING AND SALES!
Whose with me on this?!

Instead of throwing gifts to your patients to wow them if I were you I would deliver the best customer service and the exclusive products that your competitors don't have to create the wow factor.
well thats what the lens cloth and spray is for... no need to add anything more like chocolate, brush, repair kit, fireworks, monkey or whatever it is... As Barry Santini said make personal.
My winning smile has been valued up to $27.95, though I rarely collect.
