    once again

Yep once again when you think you have heard it all, and to make it worse this just happened to be a blond. Came in and picked up her new transition lenses, shows up about an hour later ,mad, swearing we charged her for them, but didnt order transitions. said she was outside the building for an hour and they didnt change, so i put them under the ultraviolet and wham , nice and dark, upon some further questioning, i found out she was outside ok, sitting in her car

Bwahahahah...this is why when they ask for "transitionals", I say they don't work in the car. If they ask why, I say your windshield has a UV stopper and since UV is what makes the "transitionals go dark", then you can make them work by buying a convertible or these sunglasses which we just happen to have on sale for ....whatever it is that month.

No, no, you're thinking of transgressions.

Haha.. In our neck of the woods the public at large uses the word "transitions" to mean either a transitions lens or a PAL lens the dispenser has to decode what they actually really want to get. Is this happening all over or just in redneckville??? Wes you should patent that that new transgressions lens before Essilor snags it!!!!

"transitions", said while motioning up and down with their hands means progressives. "transitions" said without the hand signal could mean either, and when asked if they wear transitions you get the deer in the head light look, it means it's gonna be a long morning.

Oh this is a funny thread!

I had a patient nearly a month ago who was a first-time glasses and progressive wearer; his wife convinced him to get the works, Crizal anti-fog, Xtra-active Transitions, Physio Enhanced. He came in a few weeks later and was not happy. Apparently he is a real estate agent and shows some very high-end listings. He was showing a multi-million dollar home(suited and booted of course) when, because of his "transitional lenses", he ended up stepping into a sidewalk of fresh cement ruining his pants and shoes. I wish I could say that I showed remarkable restraint and kept a straight face but, alas, I'm weak and easily amused.

A blonde, a brunette and a redhead are stuck on an island. For years, they live there, and one day they find a magic lamp. They rub it, and sure enough, out comes a genie. The genie says "since I can only give out 3 wishes, you may each have one." So the brunette goes first, "I have been stuck here for years, I miss my family and my husband and my life - I just want to go home."

    POOF, she is gone.

The redhead makes her wish, "This place sucks, I want to go home too."

    POOF, she is gone.

The blonde starts crying uncontrollably. The genie asks, "What is the matter?" The blonde said,

"I wish my friends were here."
