    Anyone watching...

Doomsday Preppers? What a mix of smart folk, wacko's and just plain hillbillies!

No, I'm not a 'prepper', but I find the show fascinating. I gotta say, some of these people are pretty smart, the way they MacGuiver stuff together. It's like, one paperclip, some duct tape, copper and a goat, and you bam, you've got a new super conductor!

Seriously, they all seem to have goats

That's curious, I didn't think they allowed goats in the Nutmeg State ????
FYI Florida is loaded with em.

A Boy and His Dog with Don Johnson- best post apocalypse "guy" movie made! (Women find it distasteful for some reason.)

    I'd stockpile twinkies.

I heard on the radio the other day how a milk source and a half acre of potatoes would provide enough of a balanced diet to let a family survive-- until a blight... Me? I'm not so sure I want to survive in a world where the rule of law doesn't exist.

According to Doomsday preppers the name of the movie should have been A Boy and his Goat.

    I haven't seen it yet.

I have been too busy stockpiling iodine tablets and burying food, water, and gun caches all over the US and Quebec!

Every time I here the word PREPPER, I think of a YouTube video titled:

    S*@t Weekend Farmers Say

Fill in the blank for S*@T.

I won't link here because it has some naughty words, but it makes me giggle everytime that I watch it!

    Is this a tick?

Distasteful? Ha! Don't mess with the Topeka underground. Based on a story by the iconoclastic Harlan Ellison.

The people who think their community will "respect" them when all "doom" breaks loose is in the "crazy" catagory!!! I think the people stock piling guns may have a different idea!

The gun looked homemade to me and would explain it's malfunction.

Reminds me of the sweet scheme J P Morgan came up with that blew the fingers off the unlucky soldiers who used it.

In the early days of the American Civil War Morgan financed a scheme, known as the "Hall Carbine Affair", that purchased 5,000 dangerously defective Hall's Carbines being liquidated by the U.S. Government at a cost of $3.50 each. The rifles were later resold to the government as new carbines lacking the safety flaw at a cost of $22. The audacity of the scheme included not only the $92,426 loss by the government and the selling of weapons known to maim their operators to an army in need of firearms, but the guns were also sold prior to ownership, thus the guns were paid for with money from their sale back to the government. Some authors have suggested that Morgan was somehow unaware that the guns were being resold, however scholarly opinion regards this as "implausible".[3]
