Friday Mr. Limbaugh talked about ordering and recieving what is appearently a gorillia glass cover for his I phone. He went on to say that the material was .4 mm thick, one cleans the I phone screen puts the new screen cover in place and just touches it in the center and it attaches itself. Appearently the cost is less than a good wholesale price for AR on glasses.
Don't know if it can be used on a non plano surface. Don't know if anything other than I phone covers are available.
However Mr. Limbaugh did state that the name of the product and the name of the company that supplies it is on his website as well as a link to the company.
Jus't think about an indistructable lens cover (cannot be scratched or drilled with metal objects) that adds .4 mm to thickness (not a lot unless it's heavy). Think of it being applied as the outer lanimate for polarized or other lanimated filter lenses.

I have to follow up just because Rush is so clueless, I cant resist.

Iphone screens are made of glass which does not scratch adding a glass screen does not eliminate the non-existent problem.

Iphones are usually damaged by drops, adding a shield will not eliminate the shattering issue.

Assuming Rush tackles this issue like all the others on his radio show, I doubt facts will change his opinion.

Rado Switzerland makes watches with a "sapphire crystal glass" for over 30 years. I am wearing the thinnest Rado Jubile for over 15 years and the glass does not have one tiny minute scratch and has never broken. Does not exist in the optical industry.
