    So I became a Grandfather today...

    It's been a crazy week. My uncle died this week, funeral is tomorrow, and my daughter had a son earlier this eve. So, I'm on my way to Virginia to see her, and then to West Virginia to attend the funeral. Then it's back to SC by Sunday for CE. Whew. Wish me luck!

    Thanks to everyone for the thoughts.
    Progress update: Drove most of the night, and it was raining like the devil. Got too sleepy to go on, so I'm still not there yet. Stopped at some dive of a hotel in Lexington VA for rest. I'll post a pic when I finally get there. Looks like I'm not going to make the funeral. Must attend to the living before the dead I suppose. Ramble over. Back to sleep.

    Wow, what a week! A little of everything, huh? Enjoy that new baby smell. Sorry you can't make it to the funeral, after all. I do hope you get to have some time with that part of your family, though. It's times like these that we're reminded of how important it is to spend time together while we can. =^)

    Lucky me! With the aid of GPS and a wild perilous trip through icy winding country mountain roads, I was able to make the funeral and spend some time with the Scott clan.
    Finally back to civilization! Hanging with the grandbaby now...
