How's your winter going so far ?

Statistically the coldest time of the year in New England is from January 15th to February 15th. After that temperatures rise. That's another reason to look forward to Valentines Day.That is not to say it won't get cold, it just won't stay cold. This year, however, we've been enjoying unseasonably warm temps. How is it where you are, and what effect is it having on you? Ordinarily I'd be playing more golf but a circumstances haven't gotten all my stars in a row since late November.

Unseasonably warm. Heard on the news yesterday, that the flu season has been mild, because people are able to get out so much and away from the germs inside. Kinda lets you know to open the windows up to let fresh air in and bad air out.:)

We hit 80°F yesterday. My heater has not been on in my house for almost one week. I think we had a low of of 55°F, it's 63°F right now.

Make yourself decent, Wes, for crying out loud. OptiBoard is a family forum.

I was reading that the warm, dry winter has been devastating to the northeastern tourism industry. Even where it has been cold enough for snow, it's been too dry. On a more personal note, I clearly picked the wrong winter to finally buy snowshoes.

Yep, she's curvy, has a tight suspension and a fast motor, and loves to go topless.

Here in Connecticut it's been so mild, that my Saint Bernard puppy hadn't seen any snow until this past saturday. We then found out she doesn't like the snow.

I've been there in August; home in August means morning and afternoon marine layer, cool breath of the sea.

If by 'always' you do not include May through October, then yep.

We've had a nice January. There have been 15 days with a high of 60 or more. Sunday it was 79! We have also had rain several days and we need it so I'm happy to get it.
