I still have one in my R&D lab for testing lenses.......................it is an Essilor MBA I bought in 1971 in my lab days for $ 7,500.00 which is still running fine and makes the most perfect bevels and the counter has now over 89,000 lenses done. If they still make them as solid they might last long too.

I have an Essilor Profile Scan here that is also built like a rock, it just doesn't do everything I want it to do. I want to get into shape modification and other types of edges.

I wish :)) There is a cheaper way to do everything I want, 4Ti tracer to a Horizon 3 and do the rest on a faceter machine. Santinelli, Mr. Blue, N.O., Optek, etc are too expensive for me. I can get what I want done for about 17 - 18K

I am working for Essilor Instruments (and National Optronics). The correct web address is www.essilorinstrumentsusa.com as posted by jspayneii above. Currently this is the international site with somewhat limited content. We are working on creating a full site with more local content 1st half of 2012. Mr. Blue is indeed the top-of-the line edger from Essilor Instruments but a full range including entry level products is available.
                  All the best, Andy Huthoefer

GerberCoburn was sold over a year ago and their new name is Coburn Technologies. At that time, they lost the distribution for Essilor edgers and Essilor started to distribute directly under the name of Essilor Instruments USA.
