    Can I answer your question with a question? My question is on a simpler and smaller scale.

    If your math teacher knows you're going to flunk your test, is it your teacher's will that caused your failure?

    Not unless the teacher is all knowing and all powerful and set your abilities such that you would fail regardless and then set you on a course to further guarantee that failure. Come to think of it, that sounds like original sin. Is it moral to create an imperfect being and then demand that being be perfect on pain of death and everlasting torment unless they accept a human sacrifice that they don't want any part of and would have prevented if possible?

    You're preaching to a Muslim choir on that one, but if someone chooses to believe in original sin it's not my job to mock him if he decides to play football.

    If people dont like the words coming out of his mouth they can choose to not interview him or watch his interviews. I do it all the time with Bill O'Reilly.

    Personally I think sin is an imaginary disease invented so that we can be sold an imaginary cure... I think extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof, not an utter lack of proof, and anything that can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence.

    That's would make a perfect argument for atheism...

    From a scientific perspective the smartest man of recent history did nothing other then prove matter as well as energy cannot be created or destroyed.

    You have a whole universe for proof why do you dismiss it as lack of proof?

    Who would be the dismisser from that perspective?

    I am not a very religious person, but my only answer to this is faith. Some things just don't need proof for me, as I still have some of that Catholic up-bringing in me, and still believe in it.

    My perspective is that of a rational thinker. I cannot claim a thing does not exist and prove it does not exist. But also, I do not need to add anything that is not observable to explain things we do not yet understand. The vast vast majority of the high caliber scientists of the world are atheist/agnostic because they understand that god is just a euphemism for that which we do not know or understand. The pocket of scientific ignorance becomes smaller all the time, and with it, goes god.
    While I cannot prove or disprove the possibility of a deity, neither can anyone else, because none of you are in possession of sensory faculties that I am not. I do, however, dismiss the notion that any of us can claim to know the will of any deity for the same reason, which is why I dismiss out of hand anyone claiming special knowledge. Those claims most often lead to misery, bloodshed, war, and fear. They promote the status quo for those with status and attempt to halt the forward progress of humankind. To claim that the monotheistic religions teach morality is to deny the writings in the religious books.

    From a humanistic standpoint Biblical Christianity cannot be comprehended. That's where simple faith comes into play. Can humanistic thinking rationalize existence... no. So the logical conclusion based upon the scientific findings of order in the universe points to a singular creator. In the Bible he is simply called I AM (without beginning without end). If folks would take an exegetical view of the Bible and not try to make it fit their beliefs the world would be a better place.

    Faith cannot be comprehended by a rational thinker because the entire premise of faith is "believe this with absolutely no evidence other than the fact that other people believe this with absolutely no evidence, and this belief is based largely on your geogaphical location and the educational level and social status of your family". I do not need to rationalize existence. I exist, and that's enough for me. My existence logically suggests to me that there must be some liklihood that intelligence will develop, given enough time, and in an infinite universe, this results in a probability of one.

    God is a Patriots fan and has been since the Oakland Raiders playoff in 2001 when the referees must have experienced divine intervention to rule the fumble an incomplete forward pass (the "tuck"rule).

    As far as Tebowing I defer to the Good Book (KJV)-- Mathew 6:6. Of course that conflicts with Mathew 5:11 so go figure!

    I made a crack on Tebow, and it got out of hand. Usually by page 2, OB threads are hijacked into insanity... This one's no different, apparently.

    I find it rather refreshing to have a man like Tebow in the news! I'm sick of the Kim Kardashians, Jessie James, Lindsay Lohans of the world making headlines every day! Right on Tebow!

    Ahhh!! that's more like it.......the trash talk begins! Teebow Shneebow- Brady's hot...... Tebow's not! Only regret of the season was that Peyton Manning was not driving the Colts when the Pat's whipped them. Next year I hope....so Pete can get involved in the trash talk! I hope he gets out of his cave soon, I miss his football expertise!

    Eli Manning is tied with Carson Palmer for the seventh most interceptions in the NFL, and the Green Bay defense leads the NFL in interceptions. What could possibly go wrong?

    Carson Palmer int = 17
    Eli = 16

    Attempts

    Palmer = 328
    Eli = 589

    Int as a percentage of attempts

    Palmer => 17/328 = 5.1%
    Eli => 16/589 = 2.7%

    -------------------------------
    Interceptions sorted by completion leaders

    1. Breeze = 14 Interceptions
    2. Stafford = 16 interceptions
    3. Brady = 12 interceptions
    4. Rivers = 20 Interceptions
    5. Manning = 16 interceptions

    and on a side not Tebow = 6 interceptions this season. <- that was a joke, nobody punch my avatar.

    You missed my point- Manning is somewhat adept at giving it a away, and the Packers lead the NFL in taking it a away. Palmer's not relevant to the discussion beyond what I posted, which is accurate. http://www.nfl.com/player/carsonpalmer/2505245/profile
