It's no coincidence Tebow threw for 316 yds tonight

You lost me on that one bro; Anyone who prays must pray for something equal or higher then an end to world suffering.

He seems genuine, I'm glad he can practice any religion he chooses including atheism.

Up here in New England, we're still on Eastern time, and we'll be doing our best to stop Tebow's clock!

I have enjoyed watching Tim since he was a Gator....He has been this way his whole life. I guess putting it out there for everyone to see if where you're offended. If you know anything else about him(I'm guessing you don't)then you know this is who he is from birth until now. Don't throw out the hate its not nice. Take some time to find out out about Mr Tebow, before you start badmouthing someone who lives his faith everyday whether on the football field or not. Do alittle research before the rant..

    thanks

Sorry but I can't help seeing the irony of asking personal favors of an omnipotent omniscient being of whom it is said already has a plan. What, you want him to change it? So do starving children and victims of natural disasters. Sorry kids, I couldn't help you, Tebow needed to score!

I would be willing to bet that when Tebow is down on one knee praying when you see him on camera that he is praying for the safety of his teammates and his opponents and that God's Will be done through him. Having NOTHING to do with Tebow scoring a Touchdown but that YOU see him praying to God and knowing there is a higher power.

I don't hate Tebow. I do think he's overrated, but time will tell. As for his kneeling and praying, I'll bet if he could copyright that and make money on it he would. I do not have a problem with players' being religious, as there have been many in all sports and a lot of them have been inspirational. However, no one else seems to market it as much as he has. "I'm religious - buy my book!"
I also bet that if the many Muslim players got down and faced Mecca everytime, they would not be so acclaimed. Highly religious people tend to be the most hippocritical.

Have you ever heard of a guy named Drew Brees? I bet you have. Very religious, including the book he wrote after he won the Super Bowl. No one said anything about that. And he is no more overrated than Matt Ryan, Christian Ponder, Mark Sanchez. He doesn't try to market himself. He always puts the win on the team. I have never heard him say how he won the game.

Speaking of Muslims praying to Mecca...
Say you're muslim living in America. You face east to pray to Mecca. Whoops, Earth is a sphere and your prayers are headed off into space...
Also, since Earth is a sphere, couldn't one face west just as easily? The prayers would still get there, right?

Try living in his hometown, The game made the headline on the web version of The Florida Times Union. Nothing better than a Jacksonville boy, turned Gator now winning in the NFL, all while maintaining his testamony. Go Bro. T!

Wes, you have it all wrong. They only face East when that is the closest direction to the homeland. If they lived in Russia, they would face west(or southwest). I don't understand why they cant just look up....

I didn't get it wrong. I clearly supplied a location (America) from which they would face east. They get it wrong by not facing the ground, because that's where a vector to Mecca would be found by someone on the opposite side of a sphere from their target.

Let's go with your premise (asking for a TD) you believe "omnipotent omniscient being" has to give up something to answer his call?

Of course not. But if prayer could influence an omniscient being with a plan, what is omniscience, and why have a plan? If the prayer of a child for his priest to stop raping him goes unanswered, why pay any attention to Tebow? Prayers to end starvation, genocide, suicide bombings, and natural disasters go unanswered. Why should Tebows prayers be different?

Tebow himself has said he doesn't belive God involves himself in games, even football games. So what's the problem, if Tebow wins, it's him and the other 10 guys on the field, one doesn't need devine interference to play games.

    Chip

And Wes, you need to hear a little song called: "Thank God for prayers unanswered." You will understand this far better when you are older. God is often looking out for you when he doesn't give you what you want or think you need.

You don't believe the omniscient being already knows the outcome? predestined does not make it a plan.
