Any NYC opticians able to do a small favor?

I have a patient who lives in lower Manhattan. I'm in central Virginia. Every Christmas, when she visits her family in Richmond, she comes to see me to get a new pair of glasses. This year, we weren't able to get them done in time and I'm going to need to ship them to her in a couple weeks.

Is there a Manhattan (preferably Village-area) OptiBoarder who might be willing to do a fit and dispense for this patient? She's a lovely person and I'd like to find someone to be an extension of the excellent care I pride myself in. She's a very high minus (-9.75 -11.50) SV in hyper hi index. One pair is a Silhouette Zenlight, the other a Kate Spade Sinclair sunglass.

It's Manhattan..getting around is a *****. Plus, I'd say half the guys actually working in NYC aren't licensed anymore.

Why don't you call up Warby Parker, since they're so community friendly, and ask them to do it?

I would do it if it were near Chelsea..sorry.

What does getting around have to do with it? She'd be coming to you for the adjustment, not the other way around. I was just hoping someone near her would be available. Chelsea's plenty close for these purposes.

(Besides, I never found getting around NYC to be hard. Just grab a book, get on the subway, and enjoy the ride. You want to have trouble getting around a city, try LA or worse, DC.)

My shop in is Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn. It's a short subway ride, half a block from the Prospect Park West F train stop.
