Essilor has given some good phonatic names to it's products.
I am interested to know whether those are French words . If yes, can somebody teach me the meanings in English?
The List is:
1.Essilor
2.Titus
3.Kromos
4.Ormil
5.Crizal
6.Espace

"Essilor" resulted from the merger of the companies, Essel and Silor. "Espace" is French for "space". "Titus" is a Latin proper noun. The others are brands, which were not words beforehand (unlike, for example, "Tide").
It's like those French have a different word for everything isn't it? :)
