    What are you carrying?

I couldn't find Fezz's old thread on this, and was looking for some updates on what guns do you prefer and/or carry? For me, on brother Fezz's recommendation, (he even sent me a book on it) I have a S&W 642. My other is a full sized S&W SD9, with night sights, so that stays in the bedroom with me most of the time. I load 125 gr JHP +P in the 38 sp, and they are sweet, kick like h#ll, but sweet!!!

Still saving for my dream, the Kimber.

    So, what do you carry?

It was an older Saturday night special that I traded a few Disney frames for, but after Christmas, it will be a Sig Sauer P220 Compact.

Very nice choice. I like the equinox and the two tone stainless in that gun, but still have eyes for the Kimber.

    Very sweet piece Harry!

I picked up two new (slightly used) Victorinoxs this week! Mine are a bit more multi purpose than yours, but a Victorinox is a beauty no matter what it's call to duty is!

I think every Real Man should have a few machetes around. I suggest and own:

    1.) Ontario 18" MILITARY, Non-Sawback, machete
2.) Marbles 14" Bolo machete ( Made by the outstanding, Imacasa Company)

A low cost, very highly recommended machete line are those made by Tramontina.

Those blades are very well respected and highly recommended. I have thought about getting one. It may be time for me to take another look at them.

Any dislikes with them? Do you pocket carry? Tip up, or tip down carry?

I have those as well, but they are too bulky to carry around with all the other stuff in my pockets. I only need the blade to open my social security checks and the occasional package from Cunningham Lens! :) Damn few of those lately! :(:(

Love them. Been carrying them for 12 years. Tip up,front pocket carry, one right, one left. Easy to pull and pop at a moments notice.

Does it come with bling, because if it does, I could really start feeling my Annie Oakley.

<----- is a card-carrying hippy, and has no gun. Or at least I would be if I could figure out who dispensed such cards....

I have a very high powered green laser that will permanently blind almost instantly. A blind robber will have some trouble doing further robbing if blind.
I know it works on possums!

Here in Frostbite Falls there really isn't a need to carry any type of weapon. Even when I go to the big city of Minneapolis, i don't feel the need to be armed. However, when I'm in the back woods I carry a Ruger Blackhawk 357 with shot loads just in case I meet up with a danged rattlesnake.

Very interesting to see the amount of ladies that carry, bra or purse, it's great. I can't get my wife to even hold one un-loaded.
