Sad Day

It is a sad day for me today...I was just released from iCoat after 7 years. In a case of territory restructuring I was the proverbial last man standing without a chair. Never fear! I am resilient and persistant and will find a new postion soon. Of course, my OB friends can help! I am still wanting to remain on the rep side of life so any options that you hear in either lens, lab or frame arenas, I would be forever grateful for your headsup.

Lee, I'm sorry, it's lousy how some companies pick this time of year for things like this. It is for sure Icoat's loss. I wouldn't do business with them if it wasn't for you. That too now will be re-evaluated. Take care my friend and I'll keep my eyes and ears open. Good Luck!

This is the lousiest way of letting a good employee go..........just right before Christmas. You have been a pleasant member of OptiBoard with good post's and have always supported the company you worked for.

For sure, you have made a lot of good customer-friends in the coating business in your area and finding a ne job in the same type business out west should be possible, specially when you worked for an old established business out in the selling field.

You could also become an independent rep with different non competing lines.

I do have some customers in this field and will advise them that an expierienced rep is available. Wish you all the best.

Well as someone looking for anything I would love any leads as well. I have been told I am over qualfied for a regular "optician" and here in Minnesota no one is hiring for anything higher. I would love to get in with any lens company and do training, teaching, or just about anything. At least people know you and what you can do in other parts of the country..Good luck with your search
